Beverley Le Levier
I have painted and drawn all my life, going through various different phases reflecting the course my life has taken. I work directly through my emotional responses to what is going on around me, tending towards abstract and collage during times of stress and uncertainty and more figurative work in calmer periods.
I am most inspired by natural forms, particularly plants, and excited by the reactions of colours together. I sometimes plan a piece of work but often find a painting develops a life of its own.
I paint lots of different subjects using a variety of media, but favour acrylics, and at present, still life and plants. I also design and make alternative clothing
and jewellery.
