I now live in Truro and use images drawn from my life in and around the city in my paintings. Others are from my time in Falmouth and Redruth.
Usually I work on several paintings with a particular theme: windows, trees, lamps and parts of buildings are some of these.
From initial drawings and sometimes photos I work mainly in oils on medium to small canvases.
I enjoy the freedom this gives me to create layers of interacting colour and shape which can constantly evolve till a satisfactory outcome is reached.
